Financial TV powered by NCPower Pro
Intention
DAF, Deutsches Anleger Fernsehen, produces financial news, live stock-market reports and stock-market programs 16h/day. The goal of the project was to set up a fully digital and tapeless workflow, and to replace the classical broadcast applications with NCPower Pro, Apple FinalCutPro, Quicktime and XSAN. Today DAF's channel of distribution is IPTV.
With the successful integration of NCPower components (NCPower Newsroom and NCPower Graphics) and external products (Apple FinalCutPro) the project realized a complete workflow from Ingest to Playout and Archiving with NCPower. Today all users employing NCPower only need one GUI to control and manage the complete TV Station.
Following tasks in the DAF project were carried out by NorCom:
- Analysis of the TV station and of the workflow

- Acquiring hardware / software from third party providers
- Installation and configuration of the systems
- NCPower Pro customizing
- Training of users und administrators
- Project management and quality control

- Hardware: Apple PCs, Apple Servers, Apple XSAN Fiber Channel
