Munich, 16th April 2010 -
In spite of the complicated economic situation in 2009 NorCom has held its ground successfully and is still continuing its course for growth. Hence a total output of 34 Mio. € is assumed. Compared to the previous year (29.8 Mio.€) this means an increase of about 14 %.
The EBITDA has improved significantly to about 1 Mio. € and is projecting over the value of the previous year by 2.5 Mio €. The EBIT is also assumed to be positive.
Regarding the media business some important new orders in the 4th quarter have created an excellent basis for the business year 2010. The Managed Service Agreement with N24 as well as the contract with Deutschlandradio (Newsroom System NCPower Pro) should be highlighted.
However, the positive development is to be evaluated differently. NSA AS and especially NorCom AG have contributed positively, but for Value & Risk AG the business year 2009 has proved to be a difficult one again. A value adjustment has been made as a precaution measure. This leads to a net loss of about 1.3 Mio €.
„In view of the crisis in 2009 we are satisfied with our company´s development and will stick to our strategy", Viggo Nordbakk, CEO and incorporator of NorCom AG, is commenting the figures. "We have taken the right measures to represent our company more efficiently. Our Out-of-the-Box-solution NCPower Compact is satisfying the consumer needs and will help us to open up the global market."
NorCom´s financial report 2009 will be published by the end of April.
