Quarterly figures stable at the previous year's level

NorCom Information Technology GmbH & Co. KGaA achieved total output of EUR 10.0 million in the first nine months of the current financial year (2018: EUR 10.0 million). The EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) was 0.8 million euros at the end of the third quarter (2018: 0.9 million euros). The third quarter thus continues the development of the two previous quarters: NorCom recorded stable business development and held its own at this level in a difficult market environment, which brought mixed business in particular to the most important customer group, the automotive companies, as well as their service providers and suppliers.
Business development
With its innovative software solutions EAGLE and DaSense, NorCom implements a large number of projects - mainly for customers from the automotive industry.
The DaSense big data analysis tool is primarily used in research and development at automotive companies. DaSense is used in numerous projects at Daimler, AMG, BMW, Stihl and in the ALP.Lab research project.
In order to remain competitive here and to meet customer requirements, DaSense was integrated with Microsoft Azure Databricks in the middle of the year. NorCom is thus offering a cloud-compatible version of its big data analysis software based on the latest cloud technology.
When the enterprise collaboration solution EAGLE is introduced at Audi, the go-live of the next expansion stage is due this year, after which it will be used by up to 25,000 employees in the “Technical Development” department. For this purpose, the software was completely integrated into the company's existing IT landscape. The parallel operation of the previous internal drive is then ended. In the medium term, it is planned that EAGLE will also play a central role in the VW Group's system landscape.
Further development of EAGLE
Building on the existing functions of EAGLE, the software is being expanded with a focus on "Legal". In addition to document management, knowledge management and data analysis, EAGLE also supports the legally secure implementation of legal requirements for companies. NorCom is currently working with legal experts to develop a comprehensive concept for the functions required in the software on the basis of practical use cases. The market launch is planned for the first quarter of 2020.
