Context-based workplace and data lifecycle management with EAGLE

11/30/2018

Globally active, innovation-driven large corporations - across all industries - are increasingly facing the same challenge: faster, easier, but also more secure exchange of documents as well as cross-collaboration between different teams and countries are two key success factors for innovation and growth. EAGLE combines the two topics of content management and enterprise collaboration in one solution based on the latest big data technologies.

In addition to a simple, millisecond search in any large amount of data, EAGLE also offers the option of securely exchanging and jointly processing documents in teams and projects around the world.
Two other new features make the software solution even more valuable for companies: an intelligent context-based workstation and extensive data lifecycle management have been integrated into EAGLE on the basis of machine learning.

Context-based workplace
For the context-based workplace, EAGLE structures the data according to various schemes and thus creates an intelligent, personal refinement of the search results. The search results are tailored in detail to the user, his activity, his current project and his preferences. For example, if a user searches for the term “airbag”, an engineer from the development department receives different search results than his colleague from the legal department. The more intensive the use of EAGLE, the more intelligent the software becomes and the more precisely the search results are prioritized according to personal relevance.

Data lifecycle management
EAGLE protects sensitive data through security classes for confidentiality levels and treats them according to a strictly integrated role and rights system. The document history can be audited, existing PKI systems can be integrated and compliance regulations are followed within the framework of the system.
In addition, documents are classified in EAGLE according to the "Classification System for Documents" (KSU). The KSU defines standards for the classification, processing, storage and timely deletion of data and documents. Temporary documents in particular are screened out at an early stage and waste of data is avoided. In the case of documents to be deleted, it is ensured that they can actually no longer be restored - this has been a relevant point, especially since the GDPR came into effect.

Customer benefit
For companies, the introduction represents a clear benefit that can be measured in numbers: Several thousand users can securely access the several hundred million documents managed by the system every day and receive the results of their free-text search in seconds. The new transparency of the document content promotes collaboration and reduces costs thanks to the efficiency gained.
