NorCom aims to further diversify its portfolio

10/30/2019

NorCom Information Technology GmbH & Co. KGaA is expanding its EAGLE software product to include central functionalities in order to make it more attractive for use in large companies regardless of the sector.

The focus of the expansion is the legally secure implementation of legal requirements for companies by means of the technical support of EAGLE: In the future, companies should be able to map their information governance guidelines and automatically implement them with EAGLE. EAGLE should also be able to handle central components of the e-discovery process in a legally secure manner. The existing extensive knowledge management and collaboration functions of the software will be integrated and will also be retained.

Planned diversification reflects market needs

The planned strategic expansion of EAGLE to include legal functionalities is based on current market needs.

“The demands placed on companies by external review bodies are increasing, and non-compliance threatens drastic sanctions. Establishing legal certainty in document management has become almost vital for companies, ”says Viggo Nordbakk, Managing Director of NorCom, explaining the background to the product strategy. “However, implementation is complex, making it difficult to meet legal deadlines. With a version of EAGLE that combines knowledge management and collaboration with the complete, legally compliant management of documents and data, we offer companies a valuable overall package. "

NorCom is currently working closely with legal experts to define the concept for the meaningful and beneficial expansion of EAGLE.

Investor-friendly eco-system

With the EAGLE, which has been optimized for the legal needs of companies, a new product is created that NorCom is outsourcing into its own GmbH. The new GmbH should go on the market as an innovative start-up and offer attractive development and participation opportunities for employees and investors.
