DaSense is becoming the central tool in the automotive industry

The purchase of the DaSense company license by Daimler ( see ad hoc announcement of December 22, 2017) is followed by extensive use of the software throughout the entire group.
A closer look at the underlying philosophy of DaSense reveals how central the role of DaSense can be: DaSense in its original form is a platform that bundles all data available in the company in accordance with the highest security standards and enables the user to access according to needs and rights. This basic version of DaSense is located in the company's IT department, is controlled from there and offered to the specialist departments for use.
The specialist departments in turn use DaSense as a central work tool for data analysis and query using specially programmed apps that are installed on DaSense depending on the current issues. There is a lot of specialist know-how in these apps. For this reason, most of them are not developed by NorCom, but by technological partner companies who are experts in their respective fields and who know exactly what engineers need. DaSense becomes a central tool not only for employees, but also for technology partners of the automotive group.
This philosophy makes DaSense extremely flexible and usable both across topics and across countries. "The longer, more intensively and in a variety of ways DaSense is used, the more indispensable the software becomes in the company," explains Dr. Tobias Abthoff, board member of NorCom IT AG. "Precisely because we do not create a monopoly, but rather enable other providers to develop DaSense, our product has more growth potential than we could ever achieve on our own."
"NorCom's domain in the development of apps will certainly remain deep learning and the training of neural networks, as is required in the development of autonomous driving, since this is our core competence," said Dr. Tobias Abthoff continues. "For all other areas, the customer will involve partners who program their solutions as an app on DaSense and thus continuously expand the areas of application of our software."
