Data Engineer - Artificial Intelligence (m / f / d)
Your tasks
Together with our customers, you create scalable applications for the automated consolidation, processing and analysis of large amounts of data for machine learning - from conception to prototyping to operation, batch and streaming
You use and develop modern AI environments (e.g. Hadoop, Kubernetes, Cloud) on which you integrate data and databases and implement, optimize and put machine learning pipelines into operation
You will evaluate the latest tools and technologies, have a direct influence on our architecture decisions including the DevOps / DataOps processes and drive innovative solutions for data and machine learning management
In close cooperation with data scientists, you implement exciting AI use cases (e.g. entity extraction, recommender, chatbots) with data of all kinds (e.g. time series, images, documents)
You ensure continuous quality and performance improvement and take responsibility for applications and contact persons during development and operation
Your strengths
You have a degree in MINT and several years of experience in data science and machine learning
You have extensive methodological knowledge in the preparation and modeling of data including natural language processing, excellent programming skills in Python and SQL and practical experience with common database technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, Hive, Elastic, Cassandra)
You have mastered the processing of large amounts of data including natural language texts with technologies such as Kafka, Airflow, Nifi, Spark, ideally in an enterprise environment with typical security requirements (e.g. identity management, data protection)
You are familiar with the conception and implementation of machine learning pipelines and ideally have already put them into operation
You feel comfortable in an agile work environment and use continuous integration & deployment tools & methods (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, git, Jenkins) to deliver iterative and reproducible results
You are characterized by a high sense of responsibility, the ability to work in a team, enjoy working with customers and willingness to travel
Your communication skills in German at least level C1 and English will enable you to convince customers and colleagues and to convey technically difficult concepts in a clear and understandable way
